Live show producer and performer
As a producer, I draw on a left brain right brain concord. Live event production positions me as creator, performer, salesman, marketer and producer. Negotiating with the venues, develop theme, positioning and target audience of the show, strategically book the talent, marketing through many platforms, manage all ticketing and money, and finally, I get on stage and perform.
As a performer, the comedy path has been a well trod journey from the bottom. Open mics in empty cafes, bars, laundromats, the back of a moving truck. Waiting for 6 hours to get a 3 minute spot at 1:30am to an almost empty room. Bombing, rewriting, bombing, rewriting. Panic attacks in the car. Constantly questioning myself. Typical journey.
